To foster the next generation of educational innovators, it has empowered students by imparting cutting-edge knowledge, research methods, and core values, equipping them to excel in academic research, policy-making, and applied research.
The strength of IHE lies in a distinguished faculty—pioneers at the forefront of higher education research both domestically and internationally. They have not only pioneered foundational achievements in higher education theory, governance, history, and teaching reform, but also excel at applying their expertise to address practical challenges in education. Beyond academic research, it has actively offered teacher training and professional development programs for educational administrators and techers, contributing to the sustainable development of education in China.
IHE’s spirit is rooted in the founder, Professor PAN Maoyuan, the father of higher education discipline in China. With the courage to "dare to be the first," he established China’s higher education discipline, and his spirit of innovation and perseverance has inspired generations. His vision continues to guide IHE’s mission: to build a world-class discipline with Chinese characteristics.
