Faculty and Students from Our Institute Attended the Tsinghua Higher Education Forum 2025

Tsinghua Higher Education Forum 2025, themed "The Future of Internationalization of Higher Education: Market, Geopolitics and Epistemic Justice," opened at the Tsinghua University Southeast Asia Center on October 18-19. The opening ceremony featured addresses by Guo Yong, Vice Chair of Tsinghua University Council; Getachew Engida, former UNESCO Deputy Director-General; Ir. I Nengah Sujaya, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at Udayana University; and Cherie Nursalim, Co-Chair of the Southeast Asia Center, Tsinghua University. Stella Christie, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of Indonesia, delivered a video address. The forum brought together over 150 experts, scholars, and researchers from educational institutions worldwide. Professor Wu Wei, PhD candidate Lin Lin, and master student Lv Zhen from our Institute attended the event.


The Tsinghua Higher Education Forum 2025 featured five parallel forum. In Forum 3,The Global Influence of Asian Higher Education: Market Expansion and International Cooperation,Wu Wei and Lin Lin delivered a presentation titled "The Role Shift and Future Prospects of ASEAN Countries in the Global Science System." The study first explored the connotations of national and global science systems, followed by an analysis of policy texts and data to examine the evolutionary characteristics of the science systems in ASEAN countries and their shifting roles within the global science landscape.



During the academic poster session, master student Lv Zhen presented her research titled "Emerging Trends in Higher Education Innovation in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Towards Knowledge Diversity and Cross-Cultural Exchange." This study examines emerging trends in higher education innovation in the era of artificial intelligence, focusing on advancing global educational innovation, cross-cultural exchange, and reconstructing knowledge systems for diversity and epistemic justice.



During the forum, our faculty and students actively engaged with peers in the field of higher education from various countries. This not only deepened their reflections on the theme of internationalizing higher education but also demonstrated their strong academic competence.
