Li Guoqiang, Doctor, associate professor, previously served as a chemistry teacher and the vice principal of a middle school(1993-2003) and currently a professor at the Education Research Institute of Xiamen University(from 2009), as well as the director of the Fujian-Taiwan Higher Education Research Center and Vice President of the Association of Learning Sciences in Fujian Province. Research interests include Philosophy and Principles of Higher Education, Educational Policy and Administration, Curriculum and Teaching, Management of Vocational Education and Private Education. Teach courses include Higher Education Studies, Principles of Education, Educational Psychology, and Educational Finance.

Representative research achievements include: a national plan for debt reduction of universities and colleges in China (2009); Research on the Classification Development and Classification Management of Universities and Colleges in China (2015); a third-party assessment report on the reform and development of higher education across the country since the implementation of the "Long-Term Education Plan Outline 2010-2020"(2015); Research on the Classification Management of Private Schools and the Regulatory Policies for Profit-making Private Schools(2016).

Research achievements have won the First Prize of Social Science Research in Fujian Province, the Second Prize of University Humanities and Social Sciences Research from the Ministry of Education, the Second Prize of National Education Science Planning Research, and the Nomination for One of the Hundred Outstanding Doctoral Dissertations in China.
