He has presided over 14 social science projects at various levels, including the General Project of Education under the National Social Science Fund, the Research Project of Humanities and Social Sciences under the Ministry of Education, the Special Project on Examination Research of the National Education Science Planning, the General Project of Philosophy and Social Sciences of Fujian Province, and the Social Science Research Project of Xiamen City. Chen Xingde has published 4 monographs and more than 60 academic papers in important journals such as Educational Research, Journal of Higher Education, and Journal of Xiamen University (Philosophy and Social Sciences Edition). More than 10 of his research achievements have been fully reprinted or excerpted in publications like Xinhua Digest, Chinese Social Science Digest, Duplicated Materials by Renmin University of China·Higher Education, Duplicated Materials by Renmin University of China·Modern History of China, and Duplicated Materials by Renmin University of China·Education Digest. Additionally, he undertakes the manuscript review work for a number of academic journals and university journals, such as Tsinghua Journal of Education.
