Distinguished Professor and Vice Chair of the University Affairs Committee at Xiamen University. He formerly served as Vice President of Xiamen University. Concurrently, he holds several other positions, including Vice President of the China Association of Higher Education, Vice President of the Chinese Society of Educational Development Strategy, Vice Chairman of the Ministry of Education's Steering Committee for Speciality Setup and Teaching in Higher Education, a member of the Ministry of Education's Social Science Committee, and Honorary Chair of the Chinese Network of internal Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education.
