In January 2024, Fujian Provincial People's Government officially issued the Decision on Conferring the 15th Fujian Provincial Outstanding Achievements in Social Sciences Awards. A total of 7 achievements from our institute were honored, including 2 first prizes and 5 third prizes. Notably, our institute secured both first prizes in the education category at this edition of the awards, equaling the historical record for the highest number of first prizes.

Since the launch of the first-class discipline initiative, our institute has continuously strengthened top-level design and overall planning, aiming to establish a new paradigm for scientific research. Driven by research innovation for high-quality development, significant breakthroughs have been made in research project approvals, high-level publications, and contributions to national and local higher education development. This recent award further underscores our robust research capabilities. Moving forward, we will reinforce our strategic planning and, with greater conviction and a heightened sense of mission, capitalize on the opportunities presented by the first-class discipline development, focus on the frontiers of higher education discipline and major strategic issues in China's higher education development, produce first-class research achievements, and contribute wisdom to developing a higher education discipline with Chinese characteristics and building a leading country in education.
