From December 4 to 7, 2025, the CUHK China Education Forum and the 60th Anniversary Academic Symposium of the Faculty of Education were successfully convened at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Centered on the theme "Educational Innovation and Transformation in the AI Era," the event comprised 10 keynote speeches, 23 thematic forums, 23 parallel sessions, and 2 poster presentation sessions. It brought together numerous experts and scholars from across the globe, establishing a high-level platform for academic exchange among educational researchers worldwide. Master's students Huang Shiru and Deng Yushan were invited to attend the forum in Hong Kong and delivered academic presentations.

Huang Shiru, a master’s student enrolled in 2024, delivered a report titled "How to Realize AI Collaboration? Role Transformation and Core Literacy Iteration of Employment and Career Planning Guidance Teachers". Against the backdrop of artificial intelligence deeply integrating into educational services, the report analyzed the practical limitations of the traditional employment guidance model centered on information transmission and procedural management. It elaborated on a new paradigm of employment guidance that focuses on emotional insight and value-based mentoring.

Deng Yushan, a master’s student enrolled in 2024, delivered a report titled “From ‘Knowledge Transmission’ to ‘Intellectual Symbiosis’: A Study on the Paradigm Shift of the Teacher-Student Relationship in Graduate Education under the Era of Generative AI.”Grounded in the context of generative artificial intelligence reshaping the educational ecosystem, the report analyzed the impacts and limitations faced by the traditional “knowledge transmission”paradigm. It systematically elucidated the theoretical connotations and inherent characteristics of the new “intellectual symbiosis” paradigm. Furthermore, it proposed viable pathways for the paradigm transformation in graduate education, focusing on the redefinition of roles for teachers and students, innovation in interaction models, and the establishment of institutional safeguards. The report offers theoretical insights and practical guidance for re-envisioning the teacher-student relationship and fostering innovative talent cultivation in the intelligent age.
